Currently, they’re hiring a Business Development Manager to explore new markets in the Middle East. This hiring is crucial for expanding the sales capabilities. That’s why we are seeking a proactive and experienced Business Development Manager with fluency in Arabic and English to join this dynamic startup team. This role is crucial for exploring new markets, engaging with medium-sized businesses and marketing executives, and driving sales. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the target regions, strong Arabic language skills, and a willingness to navigate the challenges and opportunities of a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Your main goal for the first 2 months will be to initiate and manage 20 meaningful client conversations to understand market needs and dynamics. This includes finding prospects, conducting interviews, and transcribing conversations from Arabic to English. If everything works out, further you will take on the full sales cycle from looking for potential clients to closing deals.
Lead Generation: Independently generate a pipeline of targeted leads and identify innovative ways to reach them.
Prospecting: Engage in cold prospecting potential clients through LinkedIn, Telegram, and other channels.
Client Engagement: Conduct in-depth interviews with potential clients to gain insights about the new markets. As soon as those opportunities are explored – focus on closing deals.
Participate in offline events in Dubai (if you are based there) or travel for key events (if you are based elsewhere) with company support.
CRM Management: Maintain and update Pipedrive CRM records, including calls, communications, letters, and messages.
Lead Processing: Participate in the processing of lead flow and follow up on potential opportunities.
Arabic Text Proofreading: Assist with proofreading Arabic texts for advertising creatives, presentations, and landings.
What we’re looking for:
Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory for effective verbal and written communication with clients.
Proven 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, ideally with a focus on the advertising or marketing sectors.
Extensive knowledge or living experience in target countries such as UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, or other MENA region countries. Understanding local business negotiation specifics is crucial.
Must have B2B experience, ideally with international companies operating in the MENA region.
Proficiency in using tools like Pipedrive, Notion, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Empathetic, communicative, and enjoys selling. Should not be afraid to talk to customers and should be comfortable communicating with representatives from both large companies and small businesses.
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Ability to quickly grasp new topics, demonstrate flexibility, and work effectively under conditions of uncertainty.
Structured and organized in managing tasks and responsibilities.
Location: Cyprus, UAE, or remote.
Would be a plus, but not required:
Based in Dubai, with the ability to participate in offline events.
Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
Knowledge of additional relevant languages is a plus.
American University in Beirut is a plus.
Required working hours:
Standard working hours from 10 am to 7 pm (GMT+3 / GMT+4) – .
