Following further organizational expansion within the commercial team at Marmon Foodservice Technologies, there is an opportunity to join the team as Business Development Representative for the Middle East Region.
After establishing the first permanent physical presence in the region, it has been confirmed that the MEA region poses potential for further growth, and to remain one of the MFT’s biggest markets within EMEA. The company works with some of their largest partner accounts in the region including PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Burger King, McDonalds, and KFC but there are also opportunities within indirect channels and local chain accounts. You will be working across the entire MFT portfolio including food and beverage offerings.
The line manager (Key Account Manager Middle East & Africa) for the role previously led the region, allowing the new incumbent the perfect handover with customers and partners in the region, thereby laying a strong foundation for future success. There are ambitious targets for the next few years based on the potential of the market and the continued investment of MFT across EMEA.
The role will be heavily focused on generating new business and opportunities whilst managing existing key accounts within the region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To contribute to the development of the business strategy in MENA, develop new customer relations and commercial activities across the region.
Identify, develop and maintain strategic relationships with new and existing customers, as well as providing equipment and service solutions.
Manage distribution partner relationships.
Planning, preparing presentations and communicating and promoting existing and new products developments to prospective clients.
Business development with existing and new customers through product demonstration, equipment trials and presentations.
Utilizing market insight and customer feedback to develop business strategies relating to new products for additional market penetration and manage complex sales cycles through all development phases.
Assist and support global account initiatives across the group.
Set out commercial, financial and activity targets for the region in conjunction with the Key Account Manager Middle East & Africa to ensure accurate and consistent delivery.
Business representation (trade fairs, conferences, networking events etc.) to further build Marmon Foodservice Technologies reputation as a market leading manufacturer and supplier in the sector Conduct assessments of client needs and preferences and identify opportunities for improvement and address any issues or concerns.
Required Qualifications, Skills/Competencies
Essential
Strong sales background with proven track record of success.
Experience of management sales with larger and complex corporations.
Working knowledge of the food service and/or retail industry, ideally with capital equipment sales and service provision.
Customer project management skills with proven ability to deliver on-time and on-budget.
Ability to work with customers on technical issues, queries and concerns relating to products (basic technical knowledge required).
Ability to travel across the region and possibly further afield on a less frequent basis.
Strong financial acumen, problem solving capability, negotiation skills, communication, and ability to work autonomously.
Availability to service clients in a demanding and dynamic environment.
Desirable
