Job Description
Experian Is looking for a career and customer-oriented Senior Cloud and Container Security Engineer to join our team. You will be an expert to guide Experian’s application teams and help them build and manage secure cloud and containerized services by following Experian’s cloud security policy, container security policy, and industry best practices. This role is involved in projects or issues of high complexity that require someone who can quickly think on their feet and lead efficiency through the process.
What you’ll be doing
Provide technical and non-technical advice to multiple different stakeholders (management, executives, engineering, and security peers) on cloud security across all providers
Provide input and feedback on security controls within cloud and container platforms
Willingness to bring large and small projects to completion by following up with other teams within Experian and escalating
Support investigation and remediation of security incidents and issues
Consult on and provide requirements for critical projects
Raise the awareness level of container security in the enterprise
Guide cloud security practices in container platforms
Help governance, compliance, and risk management teams to ensure that cloud workloads meet the requirements for certification and accreditation
Monitor and report progress, problems, and solutions promptly. Ensure dollars and time estimates are accomplished within planned limits
Communicate with management and business sponsors the status of projects and issues related to container security
Provide regular communication with all project stakeholders at all levels, including presentations to senior management, creating agendas and meeting minutes
In-depth research of the latest cloud security tools, techniques, best practices, and technologies to remain at the bleeding edge
Create and support KPIs and KRIs that measure risk reduction and progress in cloud over time
Build a great working relationship with team members and the application development teams
Develop and provide mentorship to junior team members
Qualifications
What your background looks like
2-4+ years’ of experience with Security Architect and/or Engineering
2-3+ years’ of experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
2-3+ years’ of experience with container platforms running Docker and Kubernetes services
Experience with CNAPP solutions such as Wiz.io
Experience with container offerings and capabilities within Amazon Web Services (AWS), GCP, and Microsoft Azure platforms – EKS, ECS, AKS, GKE, etc.
Good understanding and experience with system automation platforms and technologies
Experience in large-scale deployments of container platforms with CI/CD integration.
In-depth knowledge of DevSecOps principles
In-depth knowledge of CIS Benchmarks for cloud and container platform configuration best practices
Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management (Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Git, CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible) preferred
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages – Python, JavaScript, Ruby, C#, and PowerShell
Experience with assessment, development, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and processes (secure software development (Application Security), data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management (IAM), network security) within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments
Experience working with Generative AI, especially securing AI workloads
Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, etc.)
Experience working with cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), and server virtualization technologies
Experience architecting solutions within Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, GCP
Experience with enterprise applications (architecture, development, and troubleshooting)
Team leadership experience to help with the organizational and team dynamics in a growing field
Professional certification such as CISSP, CCSP or CCSK
College degree or equivalent and 7+ years related work experience
