Securitas Technology Ireland are currently recruiting for a Remote Support Service Engineer based in the Dublin region.
Job Responsibilities
1. Telephone Support:
Provide technical assistance to customers via phone, addressing inquiries related to security systems, troubleshooting, and system functionality.
Guide customers through system diagnostics, configuration, and basic fault fixes
2. Remote System Assistance:
Remotely connect to customer security systems to diagnose issues, perform software updates, and resolve technical challenges.
Collaborate with field technicians and project leads to ensure seamless system operation.
3. Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and solutions provided.
Prepare detailed reports on system performance and improvements.
4. Customer Satisfaction:
Deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrating patience, empathy, and technical expertise.
Ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries and issues.
5. Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including field technicians, project managers, and sales representatives.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions
6. Call Avoidance
Work closely with clients to meet contractual SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and respond to faults via phone or remote connections within agreed customerSLA timelines
Focus on completing fixes remotely to avoid and/or reduce truck rolling and support our goals in reducing our carbon footprint
7. Technical Handbooks
To develop technical handbooks for both field technicians with the view of standardising our maintenance health check visits
To develop electronic communication support messages to clients on basic fixes
Experience and Traits
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, IP-based systems, and remote connectivity.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues remotely.
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent are a plus.
Strong knowledge on key systems such as Pacom, HKC, Lenel, Milestone, Avigilon,
