When you join our Islands and Gibraltar (“I&G”) Advisory & Assurance practice you will be joining a strong team spanning across the Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man and Gibraltar with a wide range of skills and experience across regulation and finance. We harness these skills to provide Advisory and Assurance services to those charged with governance, helping businesses become more resilient, agile and better prepared for the ever-changing corporate reporting and regulatory landscape.

Assurance builds, maintains and develops confidence. We provide independent assurance by assessing the risks and underlying processes, providing conclusions as to which risks are being managed and mitigated in line with the business’ appetite for risk. Deloitte’s assurance offerings help those charged with governance to understand their business and build trust amongst key stakeholders and regulators.
In our I&G practice, we work with world renowned clients, both corporate and individual as well as fund and other investment institutions, helping them to navigate the everchanging regulatory landscape.

Connect to your skills and professional experience
To qualify for the role you must have:
· Relevant regulatory experience with detailed technical knowledge of the financial services industry;
· An industry network, with the ability to identify sales opportunities to support the sales process;
· A great understanding of the AML/CFT/CPF framework in Guernsey or other relevant jurisdiction;
· Experience in a regulatory business environment allowing you to understand or quickly learn the nature of the markets and regulatory environment in which Deloitte operates;
· You will be required to be flexible, so you are able to react to a variety of issues as they arise and maintain high professional standards particularly regarding confidentiality;
· Understanding of the latest regulatory developments and key current issues facing regulated firms;
· Experience of managing a small to medium sized team and reporting to business management;
· Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral/written communication and influencing skills; and
· Must have the ability to work under own initiative and in many different and challenging environments; and
· Exceptional presentation, business writing and professional standards.
Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your “Immediate Family Members” are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). Our hybrid working policy
You’ll be based in our Guernsey office with hybrid working. Our hybrid model enables our people to collaborate, connect and innovate in both a virtual and physical capacity. As well as remote working, you’ll attend your local office, virtual collaboration spaces and client sites, depending on the requirements of the role.
