Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Trainer is responsible to conducting training for the ECD and remedial teachers and regular monitoring of ECD and remedial classes.
Responsibilities:
Train SMT, ECD, and remedial teachers.
Train and mentor ECD Shuras on their roles and responsibilities to support ECD activities.
Train and mentor ECD teachers and volunteers on child-friendly, play-based, gender-responsive, holistic ECD training packages.
Train ECD teachers and volunteers to deliver gender-responsive parenting sessions (including life skills, Psychological Support (PSS), and self-expression) to parents/caregivers with children 0-6 years old and adolescents.
Facilitate Teacher Learning Circles between ECD teachers and government schoolteachers
Provide regular mentoring support to ECD shura (monthly visit to communities to support ECD shura.
Train ECD teachers/volunteers (100% F) on ECD entrepreneurship packages.
Conduct short story writing competitions among adolescent girls and young women.
Conduct monthly parenting sessions for ECD student’s parents/caregivers.
Facilitate Listening Circles between teachers, adolescents, and community members related to ECD, child rights, safeguarding, parenting, health, hygiene, nutrition, gender rights, girls’ education, etc.
Train the Provincial Education Directorate (PED)/District Education Department (DED) on the ECD packages.
Provide mentoring support to preschool teachers and community volunteers.
Training the project-related staff in
Planning and scheduling for training
Preparing the training materials and their use
Pre and post-evaluation of the trainees for each training and reporting to the project manager.
Support the Education Team and Project Manager in any necessary technical issues.
Perform any other project activity assigned by the project manager.
Job Requirements:
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or related field.
At least 3 years of work experience with Educational Programs, Schools, and Community
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of CBE and ECD principles and practices.
Skills:
Strong training & facilitation skills.
Experience writing reports in English and National Languages.
Ability to work in a team-oriented system, and deal effectively with professional staff.
Ability to effectively present information.
