Job Description
Checkout.com is actively seeking a talented and driven Cost of Sales Operations Manager with previous experience in the scheme fees and/or interchange domain, with the ability to work in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.
The Cost of Sales Operations team serves as Checkout.com subject matter expert on scheme fees and interchange business knowledge by collaborating cross-functionally to provide deep analytical expertise and consultative guidance.
The Cost of Sales Operations Manager will be expected to provide day to day leadership to the Cost of Sales Operations team. You will have ownership of the scheme fees and interchange related analyses, development, implementation and reporting.
How you’ll make an impact

Lead the review and implementation of scheme fees updates from Card Schemes and other acquiring channels

Interact with Card Schemes representatives on matters related to scheme fees research or inquiries

Develop team members and provide expertise and training

Review and approve draft scheme fees change requests submitted by analysts on the Checkout pricing engine

Review analyses and outputs from analysts in the team

Support the line manager with ad-hoc tasks and develop controls on processes

Identify areas of improvements and new features required for effective and efficient scheme fee pricing changes implementation on the back-office system; Collaborate with Product and Technology to define and implement these into coherent functionalities

Ownership of projects (new features, product launches, global expansion) across their entire lifecycle; Highlight, report and manage project risks & issues

Partner with the wider Finance team to streamline processes and action on recommendations regarding scheme fees reconciliation

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in the Scheme Fees and/or Interchange domain in a supervisory or managerial capacity from a business and/or technical perspective

Demonstrates a sound understanding of Card Schemes and Payments Processing

A strong advocate of people development with proven experience in coaching and mentoring capacity

Superb analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to details

Solid communicator with ability to manage multiple stakeholders across a variety of functions

Ability to explain complex topics with clarity and tune communication based on audience and topics

Strong sense of ownership and accountability

Flexible, adaptable and willing to maintain knowledge and skills with an emphasis on continuous learning about new trends

Ability to work cross-functionally and with remote teams

Ability to meet tight deadlines in an evolving environment and sometimes shifting priorities

Proficient in Microsoft Excel required

Experience with SQL server and BI tools is a plus

Fluency in English

A bachelor’s degree and other relevant specialised professional qualifications or training
