JOB DESCRIPTION:
Scope of work
The incumbent of the position should perform with WPSO to oversee the successful implementation of our programs, supervising program implementation, collaborating on the development of high-quality training materials, and managing reporting and documentation. Key responsibilities will include planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on project tasks, ensuring alignment with WPSO’s goals and objectives. The Program officer will also represent WPSO in meetings and forums, promoting the organization’s mission and values.
Responsibilities component

Project implementation

Active engagement in planning, implementation, reporting and coordination of all activities for the training projects with the program team.

Assists the program team in compilation and editing their work plans.

Compiles information from field coordinators to prepare the reports for distribution to the donors, governmental agencies and other stakeholders as required

Engagement in the monitors project/program activities, identify problems and challenges and take necessary actions in consultation with Head of Program/Program Manager in order to resolve those problems

Sharing information regularly on the progress of project implementation, and any relevant issues;

Conducting the informative talk series and interviews, by identifying and engaging with academics and experts if needed;

Prepare talking points for public relations opportunities including virtual meetings with WPSO networks from 34 provinces, press events/meetings, workshops, legislative visits, and community events as directed by the Program Manager and Director;

Conduct field visit of activities in provinces to ensure the implementing activities meet the project plan and expected quality.

Provide technical and program inputs to the senior leadership for new concept around Women, Peace and to promote WPSO vision & mission and develop concept notes and proposals in coordination with the senior leadership;

Any other task related to the project implementation.

Training material development

Collaborate with other internal teams and senior management to determine gaps in staff skills and knowledge and perform a thorough training needs analysis

Develop and conceive an action plan adapted to the identified needs and the program objectives.

Organize workshops and meetings with the different WPSO networks to discuss and analyze the needs of women and girls in the community.

Take part of the baseline and any further assessment/surveys and/or data collection related to the project activities.

Review the existing and create new learning resources to support training programs, including but not limited to manuals, videos, blog posts, information guides, etc.

Research, reach out to, and manage relationships with external subject matter experts and/or consultants to supplement our training efforts

Plan, create, and deliver different training programs (including webinars, online certificate courses, self-paced e-learning programs, etc.) to address the lack of skills and facilitate knowledge acquisition to the beneficiaries.

Conduct and manage disk review of collected materials in order to summarize and develop the materials based on the need of targeted groups.

Prepare and design the training materials in to PowerPoint format to be ready for presentation and present the developed content to the beneficiaries through on-line and in-person sessions

Organize appropriate testing, if needed, and work with team managers to track and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs

Analyze the feedback from beneficiaries/participants regarding different training programs to identify areas for improvement and implement relevant changes

Monitoring and Evaluation

Assist in the process of rolling out M&E tools to the field, and provide field teams with technical support to implement them. This may include conducting workshops for field staff on monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

Design and implement a data management system for routine project monitoring.

Support Program staff in Assistant to monitor output and track progress towards indicators.

Provide regular feedback to programs on the progress of projects.

Work with the M & E team or program team to design and write the Annual Report.

Travel to field sites in order to enhance understanding of the context and programming for the purposes of developing proposals and reporting to/liaising with donors. This includes trips to remote field sites with challenging physical conditions.

Reporting and documentation

Documenting in a timely manner, all progress, challenges, and learning for future implementation of similar projects and accountability.

Archives all WPSO relevant documentation on the Google/share drive as required.

Compiles information from field coordinators to prepare the reports for distribution to the donors, governmental agencies and other stakeholders as required

Prepare Field Visit, activities completion reports and evaluation reports of all Training activities.

Prepare meeting minutes and reports of workshops and seminars.

Provides numerical, grammar and formatting edits to the reports for review of the reports

Preparing, editing and finalizing the reports to be published on a website regarding the training in three languages Dari, Pashto and English.

Perform any other related duties as required by the program manager
