Responsibilities:
The Modernization of Life Underwriting is a top priority for State Farm, and we would like you to be part of the journey! The Life Underwriting team is looking for a Software Engineer to help develop this new solution from scratch. The person selected would be developing, testing and implementing easy to understand code within a One Team concept to provide enhanced functionality to our business partners in an agile fashion. This individual would also be providing quality service to our operations partners for any tickets submitted. Qualifications:
Required Skills:

Strong proficiency in Java programming language

Experience working with Spring Boot framework for building enterprise applications

Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly Postgres, and ability to write efficient SQL queries

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git Lab, for managing code repositories

Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS, for deploying and scaling applications

Compensation Range: $85,500-$142,000
For California, Connecticut, New York candidates:
Potential salary range: $85,500- $177,500
Potential yearly inventive pay: up to 15% of base salary
For Colorado and Washington State candidates:
Compensation Range: $85,500-$156,200
Potential yearly incentive pay: up to 15% of base salary
