Job Description
The Payroll Specialist Expert, reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, is a critical role focused on the execution and enhancement of payroll functions. Recognized as a subject matter expert, the Specialist dives deep into the complexities of payroll processing, implementing process improvements, and ensuring seamless operation. The role demands high technical proficiency to manage and improve the payroll system’s efficiency and accuracy.

Act as the technical SME on all payroll-related matters, owning the resolution of complex issues and providing expert guidance.

Identify process improvements within the payroll domain for enhancement and implementing changes to streamline operations.

Serve as an SME for the team, offering deep insights into legislative rules, regulations, and garnishment processing to ensure accurate employee payment.

Collaborate closely with the Payroll Supervisor to align process improvements with the broader strategic goals of the payroll department.

Qualifications
Qualifications:

6 years of experience in payroll processing, with a track record as a payroll expert within multinational or corporate environments.

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Oracle or similar payroll systems, showcasing higher technical expertise.

Knowledge of payroll management within the context of Costa Rican regulations

Command of local labor and tax laws & regulations, with a deeper understanding of complex payroll issues.

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

Track record in payroll processing and process improvement
