We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer (Node) to join our dynamic team as we build and scale robust web applications. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Founder/CEO and Engineering Lead to design, prototype, and implement new features end to end.
Leverage your deep experience in architecting, developing, and supporting distributed and scalable systems on AWS.
Lead by example, setting high standards for software delivery, and developing guidelines and best coding practices for the team.
Proactively identify and resolve any issues, ensuring the smooth operation and high performance of our systems.
Work across multiple projects with product and development teams, managing scope, backlog, and timelines effectively.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of software development experience, with extensive experience in building and supporting distributed and scalable fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and NodeJS. Strong background in AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, etc.
Expertise in writing maintainable, testable, and robust code. Experience in designing and implementing clean APIs following REST or GraphQL concepts.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Bonus Points For:
Experience with AWS Serverless services.
Expertise in low-latency, high-availability, and performant GraphQL APIs.
Background in designing and building event-driven architectures.
Familiarity with system and application monitoring, software distribution, patching, and CI/CD pipeline maintenance.
