This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.
Harley-Davidson is seeking a proven, consumer-first marketing leader with exceptional skills and broad experience to lead the North America Marketing team. This remote role offers flexibility in where, when, and how you accomplish your work, with the expectation of a dedicated, quiet workspace and sufficient internet connectivity.
As the GM of Marketing, you will report to the VP of Global Marketing and have a dotted-line relationship to the Regional SVP of North America. You will provide leadership to the North American Marketing organization, working collaboratively within a matrix environment. Your responsibilities include driving demand-driven marketing and retail executions that enhance Harley-Davidson’s brand, reach and relevance across the US and Canada, ultimately achieving sales targets, increasing brand desirability, maintaining ridership, creating new riders, and developing our customer base.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support consumer-led strategies to improve Harley-Davidson’s reach, relevance, and demand across North American markets, achieving sales targets, raising brand sentiment and expanding audiences.

Develop and execute 360-degree connected marketing campaigns, inclusive of paid media, PR, events, and dealer retail marketing integration.

Drive effective, connected marketing campaigns focused on brand relevant demand generation and dealer traffic, working collaboratively with the North American Dealer Network.

Collaborate with global Marketing leaders to deliver Retail, Brand, Digital and Consumer Experiences, reviewing performance against KPIs related to brand awareness and engagement.

Create and lead a cohesive marketing and engagement plan, working with multiple stakeholders.

Utilize strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills to manage feedback from internal and external stakeholders.

Evaluate and report on marketing activities and metrics within North America, leveraging key performance indicators.

Develop real-time reporting to measure the impact of targeted marketing programs and adjust content or technology to maximize their effectiveness.

Manage the regional marketing budget across various channels for maximum impact and sales results.

Drive and develop digital marketing capabilities and programs throughout the customer journey.

Lead the North American marketing organization, developing team capabilities and ensuring alignment with Harley-Davidson’s brand strategy and seasonal plans.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field required; an advanced degree is highly preferred.

15+ years of successful marketing experience with a motorcycle manufacturer, passenger car manufacturer, or another blue-chip high-value B2C brand with a franchised distribution network.

Comprehensive knowledge and skills in marketing and communications, including new media and digital communications.

Demonstrated success in managing multiple marketing channels, PR, event marketing & consumer experiences, media execution, digital marketing, CRM strategies, and 360-degree connected marketing campaigns.

Proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget.

Strong financial acumen and understanding of overall business operations.

Effective collaboration, communication, leadership, and facilitation skills in a diverse matrix environment.

Appreciation for the Harley-Davidson brand and products.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
