Bowtie is looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Medical Underwriting. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the underwriting process, ensuring accuracy, and delivering excellent service. Key Responsibilities & Objectives * Medical Underwriting / Reunderwriting case :
Evaluate and assess medical risk for new applications and existing policies.
Ensure decisions are made in compliance with company guidelines and regulations.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
Work closely with the claims department, actuaries, and sales teams to support business objectives.
Ensure seamless communication and workflow between departments.
Maintain Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements:
Stay updated on local regulations related to medical underwriting in Hong Kong.
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
Participant/ Lead Underwriting Projects
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of experience in medical underwriting, particularly within the Hong Kong insurance market (VHIS or similar products)
In-depth understanding of underwriting principles, practices, and regulations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Traditional)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications in insurance or medical underwriting.
Prior experience in underwriting projects
Experience with digital underwriting platforms and tools.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the insurance industry, particularly in Hong Kong.
