The vision of Monri Payments is to provide bespoke solutions to clients in payment services and HoReCa sector, as well as the best local customer support. Our products SinglePOS, Monri Online (WSPay and WebPay), Remaris, Smart, Thor reach more than 15,000 merchants. Last year, Monri processed more than 200 million card transactions in Croatia, or every fourth non-cash transaction. Customers have encountered Monri’s SinglePOS terminals at over 10 thousand payment points, primarily in leading retail chains and 8 thousand HoReCa companies use Monri’s cashier solutions.

About the job
Monri is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer! The ideal candidate has a few years of experience and is thriving to start learning new applications/tools and help us to speed up our operations & delivery teams.
We are working on modern solutions in the field of payment processing and fintech industries for some of the biggest retailers in the region. Technology stack is consisted of Ruby, .NET and Java applications executed in PCI DSS protected environment under Linux/Unix and Windows OS, and all infrastructure is distributed in high availability mode across several datacenters.
The position is in Sarajevo, BiH.
What are the Key Challenges and Goals?
Managing different environments (dev, test, uat, prod) for payment purposes
Building, maintaining and providing support for CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) and related environments (GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes)
Development team education for implementing CI/CD
Pre-implementation integration testing according to the specific configuration
Writing technical documentation
Participating in weekly meetings with development, delivery and product teams (status report, planning, innovation and improvements brainstorming)
Act as a second level of support: troubleshooting and analysis, providing support, education and knowledge base (troubleshooting guide) for the first level of support
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
Technical skills
BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering
Advanced administration of Linux OS and advanced administration on HaProxy load balancers. Linux certifications will be considered as an advantage
Possible experience in managing Hardware Security Modules or experience in payment technologies is an additional plus.
Native or bilingual Croatian, advanced level of English language
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sys admin, DevOps or SRE role
Experience working with containerization (e.g. Docker, LXC…) and orchestration technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker Swarm, Helm…)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code / configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
Experience in building and managing CI/CD systems and pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, Runners, Jenkins)
Knowledge for integration and administration of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle) and in-memory databases (e.g. Redis)
Knowledge for administration of web servers (puma, ngnix) and various components used to scale applications (e.g. sidekiq.org for Ruby)
An understanding of IT security fundamentals and experience working in PCI DSS regulated IT environments.
Knowledge for integration and administration of Hardware Security Modules (Thales).
Understanding of network topologies and common network protocols and services
Other desired skills
