Broadridge is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Engineer to join our team and support our SEC/EDGAR product suite. The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in providing technical expertise during the sales process, supporting the Broadridge Corporate Issuer sales team, conducting software demos, and ensuring prospective clients understand the value and functionality of our enhanced compliance and reporting solutions.
This role is considered remote, which means you’ll be assigned to a home office. However, this role is national with coast-to-coast clients and requires limited travel for conferences that may include nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
Fluently guide clients through product offerings via demonstrations, clearly articulating value proposition, and fielding client questions about capabilities in real time
Establish the best practice for pre-demo data gathering and post-demo follow up
Collaborate with other Broadridge sales teams and leaders
Develop trusted partner relationships with key customers to retain and grow revenues over time
Participate in contract negotiations
Represent Broadridge at conferences and regional events
Achieve sales activity goals
Develop and manage sales pipeline
Work closely with our CRM system (Salesforce)
Work with clients to understand needs and challenges
Expertly document, channel, and tailor communications with clients to yield optimal results
Build custom client presentations for various client presentations
Plan product- and industry-specific training sessions for sales, and prepare internal training presentations to increase sales effectiveness
Liaise with business partners to develop and enhance products based on client input and industry awareness
Work with marketing to create collateral sales material
Coordinate conference attendance, sponsorships, and webinars
Gather technical requirements from clients and prospects to help the service team develop appropriate quotes and plans related to any development work
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of the financial industry
Prior sales or sales support experience, with a track record of making or exceeding sales plan
Previous Tech demo experience required
5-10 years of experience preferred
Excellent communication, including highly adept listening skills
Strong and polished presentation skills, a professional approach, and effective representation of Broadridge business
Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects at a time
Ability to initiate, develop, and maintain professional relationships
Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
Strong technical proficiency with digital products and demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to and articulate product updates
Salesforce, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
Extensive knowledge in SEC form types
Extensive knowledge on XBRL tagging and taxonomy
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $90,000-$120,000 depending on experience
Bonus: SQB $20,000+ target
