Job Description
The individual should be able to manage and coordinate technical aspects of telecommunications projects, ensuring smooth execution from planning to completion. Here are key responsibilities and qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Oversee the progress of telecom construction projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
2. Technical coordination: Work with engineers, construction teams, and management to ensure that technical requirements are met.
3. Site supervision: Monitor construction sites in a remote setting to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including blueprints, permits, and progress reports.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies to align project goals and address issues.
6. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or logistical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of telecommunications systems and infrastructure, including fiber optics, wireless networks, and cabling.
Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with experience in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello).
Communication Skills: Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Construction knowledge: familiarity with telecom construction practices, building codes, and safety regulations.
Education: A degree in telecommunications, engineering, or a related field is required, and project management certifications are advantageous.
Tools and Software:
AutoCAD for blueprint reviews.
MS Project or other PM software for scheduling.
Excel and other office software for reporting and tracking project metrics.
