JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to support a growing Auction Company. We conduct 40-60 online auctions per year, with each event ranging in number of transactions and total sale value.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Data entry of project-based sales and expenses in Xero
– Reconciliation of statements
– Reconciliation of invoices and credit card payouts from Stripe
– Payroll data entry of labor hours in Connecteam
– Sales tax calculations
– Client payout calculations
– Preparing client reports in Word
– Maintaining organized accounting documents
HARD SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
– 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
– Understanding of accounting principles and financial practices
– Proficiency in Xero, Microsoft Sharepoint, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
– Familiarity with Stripe or other credit card processor
– Previous experience as a Virtual Assistant or similar remote position
– Computer proficient and comfortable learning new software
SOFT SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
– High attention to detail
– Strong organizational skills
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to self-manage tasks and meet deadlines
– Takes initiative, comfortable working independently
– Ability to maintain confidentiality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– Experience using Microsoft Planner, Teams, and Outlook
– Familiarity with Connecteam
– Previous experience with inventory management and invoicing
– Certification, degree, or coursework in bookkeeping and/or accounting
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
– 2-10 hours per week, amount fluctuates
– Choose your own hours
– Meet weekly deadlines
– Daily check-ins
