IT Project Manager Summary of Duties
The IT Project Manager maps out / plans current and future IT projects while ensuring the correctness, quality, and timeliness of the software delivery.
IT Project Manger responsibilities:
Compile product design documentation and ensures requirements are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable
Review/analyze documentation of systems applicable to user needs- i.e. workflows and software functionality
Facilitate the defining project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements
Resolve or assist in the resolution of challenges/problems within and between projects or functional areas and work collaboratively to implement appropriate changes
Develop methods to monitor project or area progress
Interact with existing and potential clients to understand/determine their needs and to develop achievable plans with specific customer satisfaction requirements, and improve service delivery
Advocate on behalf of clients and represent clients’ needs as appropriate to senior management
Authorize and schedule IT development team projects and deliverables
Attend Development teams sprint planning meetings to understand the project status and respond timely to project needs – i.e. issues/roadblocks, gathering requirements, update project status to stakeholders
Education / Experience for the IT Project Manager
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study from an accredited college or university and
2 years of IT/project management work experience, preferably in a healthcare environment including software development practices and tools, i.e. Microsoft DevOps and Microsoft Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and ability to communicate complex systems operations

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills (attention to detail)
