The remote Strategic Account Manager is a new position created to drive growth of our clients food & beverage and pet food portfolios. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a small and fast-growing company that is innovating the food manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic account plans that align with company goals and customer needs, focusing on maximizing revenue and market penetration.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in the natural ingredients market, particularly related to fermentates.
Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and potential clients, leveraging consultative selling techniques.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure customer satisfaction and drive product innovation.
Product Expertise: Provide technical knowledge and insights about fermentates to clients, assisting them in product formulation and application.
Reporting: Monitor and report on account performance, sales forecasts, and customer feedback to inform business strategies and adjustments.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in account management or sales within the natural ingredients or food industry, with a focus on fermentates being a plus.
Proven track record of managing key accounts and driving revenue growth.
Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and product application in the natural ingredients space.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
