Job Title: Fund Accounting Supervisor
Location: Remote in Ireland
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role:
My client is seeking an experienced and highly organised Fund Accounting Supervisor to lead and support a team of up to four Fund Accountants. The successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing development of the NAV team, ensuring all deliverables are met with precision and within agreed deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and review cash, position, and market value reconciliations.
Resolve any discrepancies on reconciliations in a timely manner.
Oversee the review of fund pricing and corporate actions.
Review profit and loss reports to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.
Ensure accurate review of income and expense accruals, including fee and trading accruals.
Review fund trial balances and profit allocations to fund investors.
Ensure compliance with defined checklists, procedures, and controls.
Collaborate with internal service departments to resolve miscellaneous fund issues.
Escalate fund accounting issues and aged items to the Assistant Manager as necessary.
Respond to client queries promptly and efficiently.
Assist in the audit process, including the preparation of fund financial statements.
Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Fund Accountants, helping to set goals and monitor performance.
Ensure internal and external deadlines are consistently met.
Job Requirements:
Education:
A completed bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
Experience:
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a hedge fund administration firm.
An accounting, finance, legal, or business degree is required.
Progress towards or intention to pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA) is an advantage but not mandatory.
Strong IT literacy.
Fluent English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
