The Sr Provider Data Analyst is responsible for various activities related to the OptumCare Midwest region provider data network, which may include any or all the following: database maintenance, reporting and extracting data for various reports and analyses. Provider Data Analysts develop and maintain standards for database integrity and quality assurance, coordinate corrective activities to ensure provider data accuracy and manage communication processes with other departments. Other responsibilities include assisting with audits and providing feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

Identify, Analyze, Monitor and Research Provider Data requests and problems

Assist as needed in helping team isolate problems based on the data

Identify needed updates to existing process due to issues identified within the data

Support team in systems and tools to research provider data issues

Maintain current knowledge of business strategies, rules, and procedures (e.g., attend training, meetings, etc.) support Supervisor

Assist with audits and provides feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance

Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, assisting in data entry, analysis, and reporting tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of experience, in Healthcare Provider Data management and error resolution

Proficiency with MS Excel including Vlookup, pivot tables, basic formulas, calculations, etc.

Proven solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Ability to handle and organize data efficiently and accurately

Demonstrated basic data analysis skills with attention to detail and accuracy in managing provider information

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven knowledge in SQL and Tableau database experience

Demonstrated proactive attitude and willingness to learn processes and systems

Demonstrated understanding of internal processes and procedures for loading and maintaining provider data

Proven familiarity with UHC provider data platforms (such as Facets, NDB, Amaardi or similar systems)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
