We’re looking for a Data Analytics Leader to join our growing team of engineers, designers, researchers and strategists. In this role, you will connect dots across several teams and user groups; planning, preparing and executing impactful data strategies to transform the way Optum Financial understands their users and takes action to improve.

Primary Responsibilities:
As a Data Lead in Optum Financial, you will:
Act as a bridge between Engineering and ML/Analytics, Research * Create and/or oversee the creation of data pipelines for ML/analytics to ensure we are sending the appropriate data and tracking the correct events to support business strategy
Ensure that our event specifications contain all the data we need to perform insightful business analysis
Help define our POV on what customer, event, and analytics data are needed to inform annual product and strategy planning
Evaluate, source, refine and visualize data to drive insights across the Consumer Payments organization at Optum.
Work with leadership to define a best-in-class data and measurement strategy across Optum Financial digital properties

Required Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in data analytics, data visualization, business intelligence, data science, or similar
4+ years translating insights from data into actionable recommendations that drive impact for the business
4+ years of experience in business analytics, in a data science or business/measurement analytics role.
4+ years of experience distilling information from large data sets and results into simple concepts and actionable insights for a variety of audiences
4+ years of experience conducting multivariate analyses using sophisticated analytical techniques and statistical methods
3+ years of experience hiring and training data analysts highly desired
2+ years of experience measuring and training junior data analysts
2+ years of experience with business analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, tableau and SQL
2+ years of experience communicating with senior level executives and knowledge to also work with business intelligence and data science experts
Extraordinary understanding of digital healthcare and finance landscape and critical metrics for web/mobile/Apps.
Proven solid passion for business intelligence and analytics with the ability to work closely with the business teams, understand business requirements, and handle sophisticated projects related to data-driven initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in Data and/or Measurement Strategy
Demonstrable ability to translate insights from data into actionable recommendations that drive impact for the business
Proven solid ability/desire to collaborate across teams and partner types
Proven deep empathy for the user and an ability to communicate the value of empathy to stakeholders effectively
Proven adaptability to work in both a fast-paced startup environment and an enterprise environment

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
