My client is seeking a Business Development Director DPAC to drive growth in their Drug Product Development and integrated API services, with a focus on establishing and maintaining profitable partnerships. The role requires a thorough understanding of drug product and formulation development, alongside the ability to effectively engage with scientific leaders in target organizations to position my client as the preferred CDMO.
The Business Development Director in DPAC will:
Drive strategic growth in Drug Product Development services by achieving defined sales and profitability targets through data-driven analysis.
Cultivate professional relationships with clients, particularly engaging senior management to understand their strategic needs.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of client capabilities and offerings to facilitate informed technical discussions.
Collaborate with internal scientific teams to ensure project deliverables align with client expectations, enhancing customer satisfaction.
Identify and leverage cross-selling opportunities with other Business Development team members to expand service offerings.
Contribute to the development of a compelling value proposition that integrates technical insights and industry trends.
Formulate detailed business proposals and presentations in collaboration with scientific teams, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
Analyze pharmaceutical market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making and identify emerging opportunities.
Mentor the Business Development team through contributions to special projects, enhancing team capabilities and strategic initiatives.

The ideal Business Development Director in DPAC will have:
A degree in Chemistry or a related field from a reputable university; a PhD is strongly preferred.
Located on the West Coast.
Post-qualification experience in a scientific laboratory environment within the industry.
Several years of experience in a business development role specifically in Drug Product Development.
Technical credibility in Drug Product Development, particularly with Oral Solid Dose (OSD) formulations.
In-depth knowledge of the CDMO and pharmaceutical market landscape.
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages for specific audiences.
Customer-focused with a track record of building strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills and effective teamwork capabilities.
Result-oriented, self-motivated, and resilient, with a resourceful approach to challenges.
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond swiftly to changing conditions.
