A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Project Procurement Manager you´ll be the Procurement point of contact responsible for implementing Gas Services and Transformation of Industry Service Procurement activities in Bolivia.
You´ll work on identifying any new suppliers that are needed to meet the businesses needs, and for negotiating favorable costs, terms and conditions with those suppliers.
You will take ownership for projects and programs carried out in terms of key figures and results. (CNI, SDR, payment terms, e-Auctions, etc.).
You will be responsible to actively seek contact with internal collaborators, develop & strengthen cross-functional networks.
You will be a member of the Services Procurement organization that is responsible for developing procurement strategies for direct materials that will ensure the optimization of Siemens Energy’s driven edge.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Develop and implement commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials, and support supplier management processes (e.g., qualification, selection, evaluation, on-boarding, development, etc.).
Chip in with Procurement Management to implement and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems for high process efficiency and compliance (e.g., compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems, etc.).
Prepare and conduct meetings to acquire the highest feasible savings, and generate, document, and implement savings (e.g., CNI or equivalent experience; plan, monitor, and report on relevant important metric to supply to the success of the business) and make results clear.
Engage with Commodity Management to continuously drive the development of the supply base, including supplier selection, documentation and communication of strategic suppliers, regular supplier and strategic evaluations, supplier classifications, and supplier development.
Identify potential solutions and/or use cases to increase digitalization and automation within Service Operations Procurement activities and conduct e-Sourcing activities to increase savings for Siemens Energy.
Engage and build a network with Project Management, Sales & Proposal, Engineering, Cost-Value Engineering, and Supplier Quality Management, and ensure close collaboration with internal customers (requisitions) to ensure customer care and early involvement.
What You Bring
Educational and Professional Background: University degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business-related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement roles (Buyer, Project Procurement, Commodity Management) or similar expertise.
Skills and Capabilities: Ability to qualify and evaluate suppliers, build contract entries, RFX, and e-Auctions, conduct regional market analysis, and use common sense and past experiences to identify situations when onboarding new suppliers.
Negotiation and Communication: Knowledge of sophisticated negotiation methods, experience in contract management, familiarity with legal terms, and excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
Analytical and Problem-Solving: Ability to evaluate and separate issues into workable components, evaluate alternatives by weighing pros and cons, and identify root causes of problems to suggest corrective measures.
Team and Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams, encouraging a collaborative approach beyond organizational units, and handling information exchange or complaints with colleagues and suppliers.
Performance and Results Orientation: Focus on results, ability to drive outstanding performance, and confidence in handling supplier relationships and complaints. Experience working in SAP is also required.

We have teams located in 7 Latin America countries that support the Generation Services (GS) and Transformation of Industry (TI) business areas within Siemens Energy. Primarily we support Operation and Maintenance (O&M), planned and unplanned outage activities for the GS and TI business areas. And while we are focused on the Service related businesses of these business areas, our support is sometimes required for other areas of the business as well.
