YMG Gold Mining PLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Electrician to join our team at our gold processing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a commercial and industrial setting. You will work on various electrical systems, including medium-voltage equipment, three-phase systems, and ensure the safe operation of electrical components in compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial and industrial facilities.
Inspect and test electrical systems using various diagnostic tools and meters.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Maintain and repair electrical components, including motors, generators, transformers, and circuit breakers.
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
Plan and install electrical wiring for new construction and refurbishment projects.
Collaborate with mechanical and maintenance teams to ensure seamless plant operations.
Perform routine maintenance checks and identify potential electrical hazards.
Handle electrical emergencies and respond to breakdowns in a timely manner.
Document all work performed and keep accurate maintenance records.
General knowledge of VSD’s

About You
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree
Qualifications & Experience:
Certified electrician from a recognized technical institution.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments.
Proficiency in working with three-phase electrical systems and industrial machinery.
Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and codes.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
Language: Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required.
Knowledge of electrical tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
Experience with high-capacity generators, transformers, and industrial control systems.
Basic understanding of automation systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Key Requirements:

English proficiency is essential for reading technical documents and communicating with the team.
