Territory Sales Supervisor
About the position:
This position is opened to meet the plan of Distribution expansion, sales growth ambition and market control in the provinces and territories JTI wants to expand the presence to consolidate its leadership position.
You will be in charge of developing the distribution channels, identity opportunities for growth in the region, managing the sub-distributors, distributor staff and teams of the distribution to ensure presence and business growth.
You will be responsible for the execution of the sales initiatives and the achievement of the volume targets as well the coverage plan for the geographical area defined.
Main areas of responsibility:

Sales Strategy & Planning: In charge of Trade Marketing & distribution plan in the region to meet brand & volume objective

Agencies Management: Analyze in details sales performance of the agencies or stock holding points in the region and propose corrective actions

Coverage planning: Manage the Territories plan for supervisors, daily plans for teams, geographical territories split and Fixed Call Plans to ensure coverage & sales objectives are met

Team Management: Monitor Distribution sales performance, stocks, motorcycles utilization and effective utilization of the Micro-distribution mobile application by the involved teams

People development: Field accompaniment with Supervisors, Distributor teams training & coaching for excellence in execution and implementation of best practices

Customer Management: Develop close relationship with Key wholesalers with specific TM&D programs that develop the region and work closely with sales supervisors of the Distributor to close gaps in the region

Cycle Planning: Implement trade & Marketing activities OTIF and consolidate the reports for the region

Resources Management: Manages fleet, manpower & resources to ensure coverage plan and objectives are met within the budget

Distribution Management: Ensure that objectives in terms of availability, visibility, sales volume, margin, product quality and customer recommended price of products are achieved for the territory

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Commercial sciences, Marketing, Economics or Finance

10 years’ experience in sales and trade marketing in FMCG’s informal channels; including 3 years at a managerial position

Resilience and ability to drive long distances in remote areas

Knowledge of the tobacco industry is a plus

Perfect knowledge of targeted territories (Grand Kasai or Grand Equateur & Province Orientale)

Strong people leadership

Commercial acumen

Customer management skills

Effective communicator

Ability to work under stress and deliver
