Position : Field Marketing & Sales Clerk – Addis Ababa
Our company, F Brothers Trading Pvt. Ltd., is a local manufacturing company specialised in vehicle and office accessories and leather products manufacturing industry.
Currently, we are looking for a Field Marketing & Sales Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. The sales clerk will be responsible for providing exceptional product presentation, influence buying decision, customer service, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring that our products are well-maintained and presented attractively. The sales clerk should also have knowledge of our products, promotions and be able to sell them effectively.

Responsibilities :

Promote, create knowledge & sell products to both existing and potential clients.

Follow up, document/report the progress made and convert the leads to loyal customers.

Answer customer inquiries and provide information on products, returns and sales policies.

Keep track of retail stock levels, order and receive new inventory to ensure that products are always available for customers.

Maintain the sales spot appearance, ensure that products are well-organized and presented in an attractive manner.

Support transactions including cash and digital payments, and maintain an accurate record of sales.

Meet and exceed personal sales targets and perform suggestive selling to encourage additional purchases.

Collaborate with other sales clerks and team members to ensure that the sales spot/team is running efficiently and providing a positive customer experience.

Participate in training sessions to develop product knowledge and sales techniques.

Handle customer complaints, inquiries, and requests in a positive and timely manner, and escalate any significant concerns to management as necessary.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety standards.

Supplying the management team with reports on customer needs or interests, potential new products, or services, and competitive activities

High school diploma or equivalent education required, some college coursework is preferred

Prior retail experience is an asset, but not required

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner

Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment

Basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions and work with numbers

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary

Knowledge of products, promotions and sales techniques to effectively sell products to customers

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment

Strong work ethic, punctuality and reliable attendance

Ability to stand for long periods of time and work off-site
