Role Overview:
The Reductions Specialist is a vital role focused on maximizing client settlements by
negotiating reductions on outstanding balances. This role requires excellent analytical,
negotiation, and problem-solving skills to ensure clients receive the best possible outcomes.
Bilingual proficiency is required to meet the diverse needs of our clientele effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Review case settlements thoroughly to identify opportunities for reducing outstanding balances.
Negotiate directly with medical providers, hospitals, and other entities to lower costs without compromising case quality.
Collaborate closely with case managers to ensure all reductions align with overall case strategies and objectives.
Maintain detailed records of all negotiations, including terms and outcomes, to ensure transparency and accuracy.
Provide regular updates to team members and management on reduction progress and achieved results.
Stay informed about industry standards and best practices to continually improve negotiation outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced negotiation and communication skills to handle sensitive financial discussions effectively.
Analytical thinking to evaluate settlements and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases and track reduction efforts accurately.
Proactive problem-solving abilities to address challenges creatively and efficiently.
Familiarity with legal or medical billing processes is highly desirable.
Background in accounting, claim settlements and cost reductions.
