Job Title: AI Engineering Lead
Location: Remote (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
Join Unifonic as an SMS Engineering Lead, where you’ll be responsible for for defining, leading, and delivering Unifonic’s products on time and within budget.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Define and manage product roadmaps, requirements, and specs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Build and ensure client solutions meet requirements and deliver value.
Research emerging technologies to improve products and client experiences.
Assist in onboarding clients and provide technical training for new features.
Track release performance through metrics for continuous improvement.
Oversee on-call incident response processes for the team.
Enforce development best practices, ensuring high-quality code and continuous integration.
What You’ll Bring (No Need to Check Every Box!):
10+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years of technical management with large-scale projects across teams.
Strong background as a Java Developer with experience in databases (MySQL, Cassandra, etc.) and caching solutions (Redis, Memcache).
Strong integration and configuration skills, e.g. network devices and servers (e.g. Windows and Linux, AWS, Openstack), integration maps (e.g. EDI maps, XSLT maps, etc.), API gateways, web services, setting up transport protocols (e.g. SFTP, FTPS, TLS etc.), scripting languages (e.g. Python).
Experience in partnering, recruiting, building, and leading on-shore and off-shore engineering teams and technology vendors.
Fluent in English
