The Implementation Project Manager is responsible for leading the implementation phase of new client set-up and existing client renewals, as needed. This position will serve as the main point of contact during the implementation. You will need to drive collaboration in a cross-matrix environment leveraging your ability to build relationships and keep on track with the project scope and timeline. You will effectively work with multiple project teams and stakeholders on project implementations. This position requires utilizing various methodologies and tools for effective management of internal and external deliverables. The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a passion for project management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead new clients through the implementation of financial service products, including, but not limited to Health Savings Accounts, Flex Spending Accounts, Health Reimbursement Accounts, Commuter Benefit Accounts, etc.

Consult with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of program/project scope and objectives with the organization’s strategic objectives and the Voice of the Customer

Manage all activities in a project lifecycle (initiating, planning, executing/controlling & closing)

Create and effectively manage deliverables for client implementation projects: Charter/Scope, Microsoft Project Schedule, Issues, Risks, Action Items Decision (IRAD) Log, Weekly Implementation Executive Status Report, Lessons Learned, etc.

Manage projects across multiple cross functional teams. (e.g., Operations, Sales Product, Technology)

Raise awareness of any misalignment or misunderstanding of project scope and objectives with applicable stakeholders

Represent implementation team throughout sales process and prospect presentations, on occasion

Assist in internal improvement projects

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in project management or implementation projects in the healthcare industry

2+ years of experience with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Preferred Qualification:

PMP Certification

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
