As the Sr Data Analyst, you will act as the Analytical expert and will provide analytic leadership to support Government Program operational reporting and analytics, planning, reconciliation, and process improvements. You’ll work closely with business leaders to develop innovative analytic solutions, create actionable insights and drive better decisions and performance to help Government Operations fulfill its mission.

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as a Sr Data Analyst supporting Regulatory & Encounters reporting and analytics

Creates and supports standard financial reporting or ad-hoc detailed analysis in accordance with contracting guidelines

Develops new dashboards and tools supporting market-specific financial and encounter data reconciliation.

Works closely with other Regulatory Sr Analysts in support of technical modernization efforts and initiatives.

Develops and maintains effective working relationships with key business partners, understanding their analytics needs to better anticipate, identify and diagnose problems and make recommendations.

Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgement

Evaluates and presents information in a manner that will facilitate leadership’s understanding of the results and impact

Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems

Influences senior leadership to adopt new ideas, projects and/or approaches

Mentors less experiences team members in regulatory and encounters reporting concepts.

Provides leadership with statistical findings and conclusions in analyzing interpreting trends and root cause analysis

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of work experience in a corporate setting

3+ years of health care industry reporting experience

Intermediate level of proficiency working within Snowflake and ADF data environments

Advanced level of proficiency with SQL programming

Advanced level of proficiency with MS Power BI

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

Work experience with Medicaid Encounters reporting and analytics

Work experience with financial claims to encounter reconciliation projects

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
