Job Description
The Obstetrics and Gynecologist (OB/GYN) Physician provides comprehensive primary and urgent care as part of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department. The Obstetrician Gynecologist specializes in women’s reproductive healthcare issues and prenatal care. They specialized care from puberty to preconception through childbirth, delivery, postpartum and menopause. They are responsible for performing screening examinations, diagnostic tests, treatments, and providing reproductive advice and education. The OB/GYN identifies and treats hormonal disorders, and fertility issues including cancers of the reproductive system within the capabilities of the facility. The OB/GYN manages and treats urogynecology problems and sexually transmitted diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform wellness exams and diagnostic tests such as pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast exams.
Conduct examinations, assess patient baselines, diagnose, and prescribe appropriate treatments for conditions affecting women’s health.
Order, perform, interpret test results, and analyse records and reports.
Provide prenatal, antepartum, labor and delivery, and postnatal medical care.
Educate and provide information regarding vaccinations.
Explain the childbirth process to expectant parents and their families.
Educate patients on sexual health, hygiene, and reproductive choices.
Counsel patients on the management and treatment of menstrual problems.
Evaluate menopausal signs and symptoms, including ordering tests for diagnosis and treatment.
Perform follow-up care.
Provide childbirth services and postpartum care for new mothers.
Offer care following sexual trauma, including tests, counselling, and reporting to International SOS Leadership as per legal requirements.
Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient health information and histories.
Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
Coordinate healthcare plans with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare workers.
Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
Ensure that all medical records are meticulously and accurately maintained.
Provide clinical reporting to the DCMO.
Support clinical mentoring for staff development.
Ensure best practices in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs.
Support the clinical excellence framework under the direction of the DCMO.
Liaise with external agencies when required to promote continuity of care and professional referral/patient handover.
Actively participate in mass casualty exercises and events.
Document care in electronic health record.
May rotate in different clinics as required.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Knowledge:
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience post-board certification.
Demonstrated experience in executive level interpersonal skills and ability to work in a matrix environment.
Remote site experience preferred.
Education Required:
Graduated from an approved medical school and completed a residency or fellowship as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Osteopathy (D.O.) from a school approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of the applicant’s graduation.
Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Equivalent.
Current and unrestricted license from any US State, District of Columbia, US Territory or Country of Record to provide healthcare within scope of practice.
Obtain provided American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Advanced Life Support Obstetrics (ALSO) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are preferred.
DEA number or Equivalent is preferred.

This position is unaccompanied.
Ability to obtain a base security clearance.
Must be able to relocate to Qatar.
A valid passport from Country of Record is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
