One of our companies is currently looking for a Business Development Manager, APAC in Hong Kong.
As a Business Development Manager, APAC, you will drive new business opportunities across SMEs, large enterprises, and startups in the fintech, e-commerce, and investment sectors. Your role will focus on promoting and selling financial services, establishing relationships with key partners, and ensuring smooth onboarding of clients in the region. You will work closely with internal teams to maintain compliance with local regulations and provide a seamless customer experience. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional with strong business acumen and a deep understanding of corporate structures and financial services in the APAC region.
Accountabilities:

Identify and engage new business opportunities, focusing on SMEs, large enterprises, startups, VC-backed firms, investment companies, and e-commerce businesses across APAC

Develop and maintain relationships with key business partners, establishing a strong network for business growth and IBAN onboarding

Analyze client businesses to understand monetization models, risk profiles, and regulatory requirements for Hong Kong and Singapore entities

Guide clients through the onboarding process, ensuring compliance with KYC/KYB standards and local regulations

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to increase brand visibility and generate leads

Collaborate with compliance, operations, and other internal teams to facilitate smooth account openings and ongoing client relationships

Requirements

Proven experience in a business development, client relationship management, or regional sales role in the banking or corporate service provider sector

Strong knowledge of Hong Kong and Singapore corporate structures, documentation requirements, and financial services regulations

Familiarity with KYC/KYB, AML procedures, and business risk assessments

Established connections within the SME, startup, and VC ecosystems across Hong Kong and APAC

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Fluency in English and Mandarin; Cantonese proficiency is a plus

Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly assess business models and revenue strategies
