Solar Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Design and engineer PV systems from concept to construction
Draft and review electrical single-line diagrams, layouts, wiring schedules, and system specifications
Manage the utility interconnection process (applications, communication, timelines)
Integrate monitoring platforms like AlsoEnergy, SolarEdge, and Energy Toolbase into system designs and commissioning
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and utility regulations
Provide technical support during permitting, construction, commissioning, and O&M handover
Coordinate with EPC partners, field engineers, and project managers to ensure aligned execution
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field OR strong proven experience in solar PV engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience with PV systems (100 kW 2 MW) (more if applying without a Bachelor’s degree)
Proficiency in Helioscope, PVsyst, and AutoCAD
Working knowledge of PV monitoring and BESS integration
Preferred:
Experience with permitting, utilities, and AHJs
NABCEP certification or PE license

Bestuur die diensproses (aansoeke, kommunikasie, tydlyne)
Integreer moniteringsplatforms soos AlsoEnergy, SolarEdge en Energy Toolbase
Verseker nakoming van toepaslike kodes en regulasies
Verskaf tegniese ondersteuning tydens die hele proses, vanaf permit aansoeke, konstruksie, implementering tot en met O&M oordrag.
Koördineer met EPC-vennote, veldingenieurs en projekbestuurders vir suksesvolle uitvoering
Kwalifikasies:
Baccalaureusgraad in Elektriese Ingenieurswese, Hernubare Energie of verwante rigting OF bewese toepaslike ondervinding in PV-ingenieurswese
Minimum 3 jaar ervaring met PV-stelsels (100 kW 2 MW)
Vaardigheid in Helioscope, PVsyst en AutoCAD
Werkskennis van PV-monitering en BESS-integrasie
Voorkeure:
Ondervinding met permitte, nutsmaatskappye en owerhede
NABCEP-sertifisering of PE-lisensie
