The Product Ideation Director will be responsible for overseeing the product ideation lifecycle within the UMR UM/Affordability Product Team, reporting to the UMR Customer Solutions, Vice President Product, UM/Affordability. Clinical performance is charged with effectively implementing, monitoring, and executing on programs related to driving affordability and measuring outcomes across the UMR Third Party Administration business.

Primary Responsibilities:
Anticipates customer needs for product enhancements and improvements and proactively develops solutions to meet them
Articulates future state product and breaks down the steps to get there
Provides subject matter expertise in areas including product development, end user experience, and program specifications
Makes presentations to stakeholders on product updates, product status, and expected results
Engages enterprise partners in search of complimentary capabilities
Prioritizes multiple demands and ideas based on available resources
Adapts as departmental plans and priorities change in response to business and operational challenges
Navigates and influences multiple cross-functional teams in a complex, matrix work environment
Influences innovation across teams to ensure aligned, cohesive progress across multiple areas, including promoting adoption of standard enterprise data enrichments
Leads teams to define and document business requirements
Make recommendations for solutions to address data gaps and needs in consistent with enterprise
Negotiate complex situations and sensitive situations with a win-win attitude
Works with capability and technical teams to ensure understanding of the business value of team vision
Works with development partners and stakeholders across various business divisions within the organization to ensure effective, efficient cross-functional product development and execution
Leads cross-segment projects and initiatives that require problem solving, relationship building, and analyzing in a changing environment with frequent high levels of ambiguity
Translates concepts into practice
Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues
Provides feedback, and guides others in cross-functional matrix teams
Leads and manages other ideation team
Helps prioritize product ideas that fulfill the team’s goals
Partner with stakeholders to enable successful prioritization, development, delivery, and adoption of new capabilities
Support the product team to ensure successful delivery of key outcomes by working with them to drive the identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution

Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience managing projects
10+ years of experience working in a complex matrixed work environment with competing priorities
5+ years of data analysis and reporting experience
3+ years of experience managing others
2+ years of UMR experience
2+ years of experience working with Agile teams
Proven excellent executive communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
Proven excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
Proven ability to gain acceptance for ideas, plans, actions and then implement across organizational boundaries
Proven ability to work with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
