Vacancy Elephants for Africa, a registered international charity committed to fostering human-elephant coexistence through research, education, and community outreach, is seeking a mature, energetic, and experienced individual to lead and oversee all aspects of its field-based projects in remote and challenging environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of international field experience in related project management and research. A minimum of a Master’s degree in biological sciences is essential, along with a proven track record of managing international teams, large grants, and high-value assets. Candidates must possess strong communication, administrative, and computer skills, be fluent in both written and spoken English, and hold a valid driver’s license with extensive 4×4 driving experience. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, hard-working, self-motivated, and capable of problem-solving under pressure. This is a full-time 50% field-based position requiring a passion for conservation and community development bordering wildlife areas.
