Job Title: Senior Digital Buyer (Remote)
Location: Remote (Full-Time, Eastern Time Business Hours)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and experienced Senior Buyer to lead sourcing and procurement across our core jewelry collections and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies. This role is critical to ensuring optimized vendor relationships, inventory forecasting, and purchasing efficiency in a fast-paced, eCommerce environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a remote-first company, possess excellent communication skills, and be comfortable navigating tools like Excel, Trello, and AI-powered analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Planning
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with sales goals and margin targets
Identify new product and supplier opportunities to enhance cost efficiency and market competitiveness
Leverage market data and sales trends to inform sourcing decisions
Vendor Management & Negotiation
Identify, assess, and negotiate with global suppliers (particularly China-based manufacturers via Alibaba/1688)
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and long-term contracts
Track and manage supplier KPIs (cost, quality, delivery, service) using scorecards
Inventory Forecasting & MRO
Analyze historical sales and usage data to forecast demand for finished jewelry goods and MRO inventory
Maintain optimal stock levels, prevent stockouts, and minimize overstock
Manage expedited and urgent orders to support production continuity
Data Analysis & Reporting
Utilize advanced Excel/Google Sheets and AI-powered analytics tools to analyze procurement data and supplier quotes
Maintain procurement dashboards and generate performance reports
Uncover cost-saving opportunities and support data-driven decisions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with design, operations, marketing, and finance teams to align purchasing with product development and campaign timelines
Ensure clear and timely communication across departments and with vendors
Schedule and coordinate activities during Eastern Time business hours
Leadership & Process Improvement
Lead procurement projects and mentor junior buyers or procurement support staff
Drive sourcing process improvements using tools like Trello for task and project management
Promote a culture of operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
5+ years in buying, procurement, or sourcing—preferably in eCommerce, jewelry, or MRO categories
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management experience
Expertise in Excel, Google Suite, Trello, and familiarity with AI-powered analytics tools
Strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment
Experience managing or mentoring procurement team members
Familiarity with international sourcing (especially China-based suppliers and B2B platforms)
Understanding of MRO supply chains, cost controls, and inventory management
Bonus: Background in e-commerce merchandising or product lifecycle management
