As the Optum Care HCE National Business Intelligence Development Team, we support the development and maintenance of Risk Adjustment dashboards for both operational and financial purposes at the national and regional levels. Our work directly informs strategy and performance across the organization, offering high visibility and real impact. Primary Responsibilities:
Provide support for Tableau based Risk Adjustment dashboards, including QA, data validation and minor enhancements.
Identify and implement appropriate analytic approaches and methodologies
Work closely with Data Operations team to ensure the data sources are accurate and analyzable
Extract large amount of data using SQL
Perform and document report validation
Resolve any data or performance issues related to Tableau dashboards
Create and maintain reference documents for the finalized dashboard
Find key areas of automation to make the processes more efficient
Support risk adjustment analytics
Turning visualization prototypes and subject area data models into well engineered, enterprise-grade visualization solutions
Operationalize reporting and create a flexible architecture that can support tremendous growth and changing KPIs
Multitask, prioritize, adapt to change, work well under pressure in an entrepreneurial environment, meet deadlines, and manage a project from start to finish
Develop full understanding of CMS guidelines and specifications as it relates to Medicare Advantage and Risk Adjustment
Assist with access-related issues, ensuring users have timely access to the critical reports

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
2+ years of experience with Tableau
2+ years of experience synthesizing analysis into actionable and easy to digest insights
2+ years of experience performing robust quality checks on analytic products
2+ years of experience with intermediate Excel skills
2+ years of experience with intermediate SQL programming skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, Health Administration, Mathematics, or related field
Proven comprehensive analytical skills: data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and reporting
Experience with Power BI
Risk adjustment experience
Exposure to AI capabilities
Strong critical thinking and analytical expertise: data visualization, data analysis, data manipulation, data extraction and reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with leaders across the organization and external customers

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
