One of our companies is currently looking for a Senior Support Engineer in Croatia.

As a Senior Support Engineer, you will be on the front lines of customer success, helping troubleshoot, optimize, and guide users through a diverse range of environments—from traditional on-prem setups to dynamic cloud and container platforms. Accountabilities:

Provide expert-level technical support for database products across diverse environments

Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to performance, reliability, and configuration

Assist clients with database best practices, upgrades, and usage guidance

Manage and resolve support cases with professionalism and efficiency

Collaborate with engineering and product teams for deeper technical escalations

Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing

Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support coverage (shared globally)

Requirements

Strong expertise in MariaDB or MySQL Server and related tools

Solid experience in SQL and query optimization

Linux system administration proficiency

Deep understanding of database architecture and high availability setups

Familiarity with backup solutions and recovery procedures

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Experience in remote work environments

Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken

Bonus: Experience with Galera, MaxScale, ColumnStore, or cloud platforms

Bonus: Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
