Redpath is the world’s premier full-service underground mining contractor. Redpath Botswana are excited to be looking for one (1) Diamond Drill Training Superintendent and one (1) Diamond Drill Training Supervisor to fill roles for the new Jwaneng Underground Mining Development Project.
Basic function of the position:
The role as a Diamond Drill Training Superintendent & Supervisor will oversee & manage all diamond drilling operations. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient and safe drilling operations, managing drilling crews and coordinating with other departments to achieve exploration and production goals.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Develop systems & processes for planning, execution, and review for drilling activities.
Ensure all drilling operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Train & lead a team of drillers, providing guidance, leadership, & support.
Monitor and control drilling equipment and techniques to optimize performance.
Conduct regular inspections of drill sites and drilling equipment and ensure maintenance schedules are met.
Identify and promote suggestions to increase productivity and/or reduce operating costs.
Write procedures, and technical reports for the Diamond Drilling operations.
Minimum qualifications and experience required for this position:
Driver’s Licence, First Aid & CPR certificate.
Working at Heights certificate
Minimum 15 years in Underground Diamond Drilling Experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience operating a LM90 Drill Rig with rod handler.
Certificate III Drilling in Operations is mandatory.
Proven leadership/team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of diamond drilling techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
Must have worked in a multicultural environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in challenging and remote environments.
