Job Description:
We are looking for a expert and dynamic Construction and Road Building Specialist to join our network leading the sector. This position involves managing field assessments, Mining exploration and testing, preparing reports, leading mining consulting teams, and ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, supervise, and manage construction and road infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
Conduct site assessments and surveys, reviewing terrain, materials, and logistical constraints.
Develop detailed project designs, technical drawings, BOQs, and construction documentation in coordination with design engineers.
Ensure compliance with national construction codes, safety regulations, environmental standards, and donor/contractual requirements.
Monitor construction progress, ensuring quality control, adherence to timelines, and cost-effectiveness.
Supervise contractors, site engineers, and field teams, ensuring proper execution of tasks as per specifications
Oversee procurement and resource planning, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and labor, Conduct inspections and field tests, including work and material quality assurance.
Prepare and review project reports, daily logs, progress updates, and financial tracking for internal and client use.
Support tender preparation, project costing, proposal development, and technical bid evaluations.
Promote safety and environmental protection, ensuring implementation of health & safety protocols at construction sites.
Participate in project audits, evaluations, and handover processes with clients and third-party assessors.
Report regularly to the CEO and Vice President on project progress and corrective actions.
Job Requirements:
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
📌 Education & Experience
Master in Civil Engineering, Road Building, Architecture or related fields
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
📌 Technical & Core Competencies
Dynamic mixed background with different private sectors and NGOs.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Proficiency in industry-specific software, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, GIS, MX Road and related tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet (familiarity with other applications is an advantage).
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently.
Ability to travel to project sites and provinces when required.
📌 Language Proficiency
Fluency in English language is a must
Proficiency in national languages (Dari/Pashto/Uzbeki)
Knowledge of Chines or German language is a plus
📌 Additional Requirements
Willingness to undertake field visits and remote assignments as needed.
Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and international project settings.
