Account Manager – Newcastle/Remote – £60k + 20-60% bonus

A dynamic and fast-growing software consultancy is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join their team in Newcastle. As an Account Manager, you’ll be the trusted advisor and main point of contact for key clients. You’ll manage relationships, identify growth opportunities, and ensure the successful delivery of services. Your strategic mindset and communication skills will be essential in driving client satisfaction and business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships

Understand client goals and proactively offer tailored solutions

Act as the primary liaison, resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction

Account Growth & Retention

Develop strategies to grow accounts and identify upsell opportunities

Monitor client challenges and propose innovative solutions

Lead contract renewals and support promotional activities

Market Insight & Strategy

Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies

Use market knowledge to anticipate client needs and position the company as a trusted partner

Reporting & Analysis

Track key metrics and provide regular performance reports

Manage engagement finances and ensure commercial success

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience in Account Management within IT consultancy

Proven experience working within or closely alongside software development teams

Strong multitasking and organisational skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Commercial acumen and understanding of fee structures

Experience working with large clients (e.g., FTSE 100, government)

Knowledge of software engineering is a plus
