Weβre looking for a skilled Paralegal specializing in US immigration law to join our team! If youβre detail-oriented, fluent in English (C1 level or higher) and Spanish, and have a passion for immigration law, weβd love to hear from you. πβ¨
π What Youβll Do:
Draft and prepare immigration-related legal documents, including visa petitions, affidavits, appeals, and motions. ππ»
Submit immigration petitions and applications to relevant agencies, meeting all deadlines. πβ±οΈ
Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and case precedents. ππ
Communicate with clients in English and Spanish, addressing inquiries and providing updates. ππ€
Maintain organized case files and accurate documentation for immigration cases. ποΈβοΈ
Prepare and review immigration forms for visas and other processes. βοΈπ
Support attorneys with administrative tasks related to immigration cases. ππ
Track visa deadlines and case progress, keeping attorneys informed. πβ
Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate:
Has at least two years of experience as a legal assistant or law clerk. πΌ
Holds a law degree (or equivalent) from their home country. π
At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal in a U.S. immigration law firm. βοΈ
Is proficient in legal software like Clio or MyCase (preferred). π»
Is bilingual in English (C1 or higher) and Spanish, both spoken and written. π£οΈ
Can work independently on multiple projects with minimal supervision. πͺ
Familiarity with immigration-specific databases and software. π
Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration procedures, visa types, and forms (family-based, humanitarian, and employment-based immigration). π
Permanently resides in Latin America. π
Owns a reliable laptop (Windows or Mac, 2017 or newer) with a stable internet connection. π»
