Streamlining the Remote Update Experience for Tait Broadband Devices
Tait broadband devices are centrally managed from a server. One of the goals of the system to make the experience of remotely configuring and updating devices as simple as possible for customers. The current remote update process has various inefficiencies and differs between devices. The goal of this project is to consolidate the methods and make it more streamlined.
The duties of the role will include:
In this role, you will identify pain points in the current remote update subsystem on the existing Embedded Linux devices and implement improvements. You will also consolidate the remote update mechanisms on the various device platforms to reduce duplication and complexity.

To be eligible for a summer internship, you must:
Have studied or be studying at a New Zealand tertiary education institute (note: students who have completed study overseas are not eligible).
Be studying at NZQA level 6-10, or if study has been completed, the closing date of the last semester must be less than 12 months ago.
Be studying science, technology, engineering, design or business.
Be legally permitted to work in New Zealand.
Not have been previously employed at our business unless part-time or temporary.
Not have undertaken more than two Experience Grant Internships with our Business.
This is a fixed term paid summer internship position for 400 hours, commencing Monday 17th November 2025.
