As a Customer Accounts Officer, you excel in managing customer billing and accounts processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. You work behind the scenes to reconcile reports, maintain customer data, and support seamless account operations, contributing significantly to the overall customer experience.
Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage customer accounts within CRM and billing systems.

Set up service profiles, tariffs, contract dates, and direct debit information.

Process manual payments and handle account-related enquiries through CRM ticketing.

Monitor credit card expirations and send payment reminders or notifications of failed payments.

Prepare and validate billing runs to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Reconcile vendor accounts, cash receipts, and product-level transactions.

Generate activity and reconciliation reports as needed for internal team meetings.

Collaborate with internal teams to identify improvements in the accounts process and build scalable systems.

Desirable Skills and Experience
Must-haves:

3–5+ years of experience in Billing & Reconciliation (preferably in the telecommunications industry).

Strong mathematical and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (including formulas for data analysis).

Experience using cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g., Xero).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves:

Background in telecommunications billing processes.

Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
