We are looking for an experienced and driven Tech Lead / Senior Back-End Engineer to join our team at Moérie – a fast-growing, e-commerce-driven hair care brand.
This is a hybrid role where you will lead and mentor a small engineering team while remaining hands-on in back-end development.
You’ll play a key part in building and maintaining high-performing, customer-facing e-commerce applications that drive our hair care products. If you’re passionate about creating seamless user experiences and contributing to fast-moving, cross-functional teams, we want you on board.

Contribute to product and architecture decisions, shaping the future of our e-commerce platform.
Design, build, and operate scalable and secure e-commerce services used by customers worldwide.
Lead the engineering team while working closely in a cross-functional setup with product managers, UX/UI designers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and deliver best-in-class online shopping experiences.
Drive delivery planning and execution – from requirements breakdown to release.
Ensure technical excellence – balance speed with quality, maintain clean and maintainable code.
Mentor and grow your team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
We expect you to
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth e-commerce environment.
3+ years of experience in back-end development with PHP (Laravel or Symfony).
Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Solid knowledge of OOP principles and design patterns.
Leadership experience is a strong plus – guiding teams, mentoring engineers, managing performance, and improving processes – but we also welcome strong senior engineers with the potential and ambition to grow into a leadership role.
Hands-on coding mindset – you are comfortable jumping into the codebase when needed.
Experience with unit/integration testing (TDD is a plus).
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure is an advantage.
Bonus points for experience with TypeScript or Golang.
Have great English & Lithuanian skills
Salary
Gross salary range is 6000-7000 EUR/month.
Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience

We have plenty of amazing workspaces you can choose from: our awesome headquarters in Vilnius, and super cool hubs in Kaunas, Klaipėda, and Riga!
For Vilnius: 4 days onsite, 1 flexible day remote. Meanwhile, in Kaunas: onsite, hybrid, or remote options are available depending on the role.
