Role purpose
The purpose of this role is supporting the implementation of passive infrastructure projects including infrastructure upgrade and EOL replacement. The focus of this this role will be from procurement, planning and deployment. The project manager will be responsible for ensuring that budgeted projects are delivered meet the quality standard and are completed on time and within the allocated budget.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Consult with the project owner to ensure that the project plan include all the critical steps of the project including scope, procurement, implementation, good receipt. Establish a quality management strategy for each project to ensure that project deliverables meet the project owner’s quality expectations.

Project Follow up & Reporting &: Perform regular follow ups with all the stakeholders to ensure that activities are completed on time, on budget at the required quality level. Provide regular updates to the project owner using a formal report highlighting progress, challenges and risks.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and discuss with the project owner mitigation strategies that should be implemented. Also ensure that agreed mitigation strategies are implemented and risks eliminated

Team leadership & Stakeholder Management: Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that projects meet quality standards and deliverables are achieved on time. Ensure that the commissioning tests, operational verification and acceptance are performed as per the project owner requirements and all the supporting documentation are signed off, stored and retrievable

Project handover: Ensure that the handover process between the project and operation team is clearly defined and smoothly implemented

Supplier performance Management: Perform and document the performance of suppliers responsible for implementing the project and provide project performance report and score to the Supply Chain so that their track records can be considered in future project procurement process.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in a Telecom Environment

Good understanding of a Telecom Network Passive Infrastructure architecture and components.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana,).

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Ability to work with remote monitoring and cloud-based systems

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

Degree in Engineering/technical qualification (preferably electrical engineering) non-negotiable.

Formal training and/or certification in project management will be preferred

Computer literacy

Language: English /French fluency (written and spoken)

Provide project hand Over pack (Acceptance, As built, User manual, etc) at end of the project Supplier performance reports
