What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a seasoned Staff Software Engineer to lead complex technical initiatives that unlock scale and velocity for our teams. You’ll be both architect and builder, digging into performance bottlenecks, mentoring engineers, and setting the bar for technical quality. You’ll work directly with the Cofounder and engineering/product leader, with exposure to the CEO as well.
Requirements
Responsibilities
Lead and design core systems with an emphasis on scalability, observability, and fault-tolerance
Solve hairy technical problems, such as below, all built on a modern, serverless stack on the cloud:
AI/LLM integrations
Intelligent call/chat agents
Caseload distribution algorithms
Massive data pipelines
Multi-DB architectures
Real-time call scheduling logic, and time/activity tracking
Shape architecture and direction for Laravel, Nova, and MySQL ecosystems
Write production code and guide others through code reviews and pairing
Partner with leadership to align technical initiatives with business goals
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of experience, including 2+ at Staff/Principal level
Proven track record of technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration
Deep backend expertise (we use Laravel, MySQL, Livewire, AWS, Nova, Vapor, Vue, Tailwind)
Strong product and systems thinking
Startup DNA: bias toward action, autonomy, and impact
Bonus: experience with AI/LLM apps or healthcare systems
