As part of Digital Transformation project, a non-profit organisation is implementing a new Chart of Accounts and Reporting structure and this role forms an integral part of this project.
The organisation is looking for an accountant to implement the project with guidance from the Finance Manager & Head of Finance. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Management Services, you will assist the finance team on the Digital Transformation project – working closely with the providers in the design, configuration, testing & live implementation of the system.
This role is a 6 month contract that is fully remote (35 hours per week).
Responsibilities:

Implement new Chart of Accounts & reporting structure in the new system

Manage the logistics of migrating data from existing structure

Work with other departments to implement the new reporting structure in all applications across the organisation

Ensure the statutory reporting requirements are met for year end

Ensure reporting on the new system meets the reporting criteria required by external stakeholders

Plan and execute the migration of the financial data from legacy systems

Ensure data integrity and accuracy

Develop test cases and perform,system testing (Unit,integration,CAT)

Troubleshoot and resolve issues

Train end users and create documentation and process manuals

Input to the design and implementation of the general ledger function such as journal processing, accruals & prepayment processing

Work closely with the Project Management team and vendors on the implementation
