This role will help support Accounting for a high growth segment Genoa of 340B that has grown at twice the rate of the company growth
Under general supervision of the Associate Director of Accounting and working with the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant II position is responsible for a wide range of accounting and accounting related activities such as month-end close, financial reporting, accrual accounting, month-end account reconciliations, and ad hoc projects specifically supporting our 340B program
This position will be responsible for 340B Margin Adjustments, Financial analysis, and Inventory analysis. Must be an expert in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and have a solid understanding of Sub ledger and General Ledger accounting, and a solid accounting and analytical aptitude. This individual must be able to work alone under self-direction and also work well with cross-functional teams to resolve complex accounting issues. Good communications skills are essential, as the position has contacts to various levels within and outside the organization
This Senior Accountant II position will join and work closely with a team consisting of an Associate Director of Accounting, a Manager over 340B, a Senior Accountant II over inventory, and a Staff Accountant covering 340B invoice processing

Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in the review the 340B invoice reconciliation and processing, and 340B Cost of Goods Journal Entry prepared by the Staff Accountant
Prepare and Develop analysis reports related to 340B Margin, Dispense Fee, Financial Analysis, and Inventory
Prepare 340B Cash card Accruals, analysis, and reporting
Analyze monthly Income statements of select 340B sites to determine drivers of variability
Work collaboratively across the Accounts Payable, Accounting, and Operations departments (both Genoa and Optum), as well as externally with 340B Third Party Administrators and Covered Entities, to support strategic initiatives and solve operational challenges
Work cross-functionally to accelerate 340b open billing and inventory replenishment issues
Analyze highly complex financial information to develop reporting and reconciliations to drive issue resolution
Lead cross-functional projects that improve the accounting cycles
Develop internal controls
Prepare, review and approve journal entries
Prepare monthly reporting
Perform monthly variance analysis by GL account against prior periods and budget.
Prepare, review and approve assigned accounts in monthly balance sheet account reconciliation
Assist in supporting team, answer accounting related questions and assisting accounting staff as help is needed
Identify and implement process improvements and strive to follow best practices to enhance the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of individual and team work product
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
Provide coverage for team as needed
Have the ability to be flexible with your work schedule if it is necessary to meet deadlines or deliverables as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Executive Management. This is a requirement during End of Month Close

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
CPA or CPA candidate and public accounting experience
3+ years of progressive experience in General Ledger and Sub Ledger Accounting
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office with solid Excel skills including the ability to create templates, pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s/HLOOKUP’s, etc.
Ability to work one day in the Renton, WA office bi-monthly for in-office meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare industry or 340B experience
Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or People Soft
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage various work assignments in a fast paced environment
Solid analytical, planning, problem solving and organizational skills
Solid ability to analyze and report on highly complex financial information
Solid attention to detail
Team player and have ability to work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
